Hello, I'm Alison Billington, freelance translator from French into English. An English native, born and bred in England, I'm well qualified with a degree in both English and French, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Translation Studies.

Specialist areas that I have experience of are medicine, sciences, journalism, official documents, contracts and literature. The world famous Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, based at Bristol, had me translate plays for them. The French newspaper L’Humanité published my translations for 18 months. I also translate contracts for companies. I can, of course certify translations.

My equipment is good – HP computer, scanner and printer, telephone and answering machine and many, many French and English dictionaries and reference books.
